The Garga-samhita Verse 5.7.12, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. चाणूरो मुष्टिकः कूटः
शलस् तोशल एव च
व्यायाम-मुद्गरैर् युक्ता
युयुधुस् ते परस्पअरम्

cāṇūro muṣṭikaḥ kūṭaḥ
śalas tośala eva ca
vyāyāma-mudgarair yuktā
yuyudhus te paraspaaram

cāṇūraḥCanura; muṣṭikaḥMustika; kūṭaḥKuta; śalaḥSala; tośalaTosala; eva—indeed; ca—and; vyāyāma-mudgaraiḥ—with clubs; yuktāendowed; yuyudhuḥ—fought; te—they; paraspaaram—among themselves.

English translation of verse 5.7.12:

Then Cāṇūra, Muṣṭika, Kūṭa, Śala, and Tośala entered and began to fight each other with clubs.
