प्रातः-काले समुत्थाय
कार्य-भार-करान् जनान्
आहूय कारयाम् आस
मल्ल-क्रीडा-महोत्सवम्

prātaḥ-kāle samutthāya
kārya-bhāra-karān janān
āhūya kārayām āsa
malla-krīḍā-mahotsavam

prātaḥ-kālein the morning; samutthāya—rising; kārya-bhāra-karān—to his servants; janān—people; āhūya—calling; kārayām āsa—arranged; malla-krīḍā-mahotsavam—a great festival of wrestling matches.

English translation of verse 5.7.4:

Rising in the morning, he called for his servants and had them make arrangements for the day's wrestling festival.
