The Garga-samhita Verse 5.7.1, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 7 (The Killing of Kuvalayapida) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

श्री-नारद उवाच
रजकस्य शिरश्-छेदं
कंसो वै रक्षिणां वधम्
धनुर्-भङ्गं ततः श्रुत्वा
परं त्रासम् उपागमत्

śrī-nārada uvāca
rajakasya śiraś-chedaṃ
kaṃso vai rakṣiṇāṃ vadham
dhanur-bhaṅgaṃ tataḥ śrutvā
paraṃ trāsam upāgamat

śrī-nārada uvāca—-Śrī Nārada said; rajakasya—of the washerman; śiraś- chedam—the beheading; kaṃsaḥKaṃsa; vai—indeed; rakṣiṇām—of the guards; vadham—the killing; dhanur-bhaṅgam—the breaking of the bow; tataḥ—then; śrutvāhearing; param—then; trāsam—fear; upāgamat—attained.

English translation of verse 5.7.1:

Śrī Nārada said: When he heard how the washerman was beheaded, the guards killed, and the bow broken, Kaṃsa became filled with fear.
