विचेलुर् दिग्-गजास् तारा
राजद्-भू-खण्ड-मण्डलम्
तदैव बधिरी-भूत
पृथिव्यां जन-मण्डली
vicelur dig-gajās tārā
rājad-bhū-khaṇḍa-maṇḍalam
tadaiva badhirī-bhūta
pṛthivyāṃ jana-maṇḍalī
viceluḥ—trembled; dig-gajāḥ—the elphants of the directions; tara—the stars; rājad-bhū-khaṇḍa-maṇḍalam—the circle of the earth; tadā—then; eva—indeed; badhirī-bhūta—deafened; pṛthivyām—on the earth; jana-maṇḍalī—the people.
English translation of verse 5.6.33:
The earth, the stars, and the elephants holding up the directions all shook. The people on the earth were deafened by the sound.
