The Garga-samhita Verse 5.6.30, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 6 (Seeing Shri Mathura) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

वर्यमानो नृभिः कृष्णः
प्रसह्य धनुर् आददे
पश्यतां तत्र पौराणां
सज्जं कृत्वाथ लीलया

varyamāno nṛbhiḥ kṛṣṇaḥ
prasahya dhanur ādade
paśyatāṃ tatra paurāṇāṃ
sajjaṃ kṛtvātha līlayā

varyamānaḥ—stopped; nṛbhiḥ—by the people; kṛṣṇaḥKṛṣṇa; prasahya—overcoming; dhanuḥthe bow; ādade—took; paśyatām—watching; tatra—there; paurāṇām—by the people of the city; sajjam—stringing; kṛtvā—doing; athathen; līlayā—playfully.

English translation of verse 5.6.30:

Overcoming the people's attempt to stop Him, Lord Kṛṣṇa picked up the bow.

As the people of the city watched, He easily strung it.
