The Garga-samhita Verse 5.6.14, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-नारद उवाच
उभाभ्यां स ददौ सान्द्रं
हर्षिता ह्य् अनुलेपनम्
अथ ताव् अङ्गरागेन
राम-कृष्णौ विरेजतुः

śrī-nārada uvāca
ubhābhyāṃ sa dadau sāndraṃ
harṣitā hy anulepanam
atha tāv aṅgarāgena
rāma-kṛṣṇau virejatuḥ

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; ubhābhyām—to Them both; sa—she; dadau—gave; sāndram—great; harṣitā—joyful; hy—indeed; anulepanam—sandal paste; athathen; tāv—Them both; aṅgarāgena—with the ointment; rāma-kṛṣṇau—Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma; virejatuḥ—were splendid.

English translation of verse 5.6.14:

Śrī Nārada said: Very happy, she gave the thick sandal paste to Them. Anointed with it, Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma shone with great splendor.
