यावन्त्यो योषितो राजंस्
तावद् रूप-धरो हरिः
स्वयं सम्बोधयाम् आस
वाग्भिः सर्वाः पृथक् पृथक्
yāvantyo yoṣito rājaṃs
tāvad rūpa-dharo hariḥ
svayaṃ sambodhayām āsa
vāgbhiḥ sarvāḥ pṛthak pṛthak
yāvantyaḥ—as many; yoṣitaḥ—women; rājan—O king; tāvat—so many; rūpa-dharaḥ—manifesting the forms; hariḥ—Kṛṣṇa; svayam—personally; sambodhayām āsa—enlightened; vāgbhiḥ—with words; sarvāḥ—all; pṛthak pṛthak—individually.
English translation of verse 5.4.2:
Expanding into as many forms as there were gopīs, Lord Kṛṣṇa spoke words of instruction to each gopī individually.
