The Garga-samhita Verse 5.2.20, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 2 (The Killing of Keshi) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

अश्वमेध-हयं शुभ्रं
श्याम-कर्णं मनो-जवम्
तम् आरुरुक्षुर् दुष्टो ऽहं
चोरयित्वा तलं गतः

aśvamedha-hayaṃ śubhraṃ
śyāma-karṇaṃ mano-javam
tam ārurukṣur duṣṭo 'haṃ
corayitvā talaṃ gataḥ

aśvamedha-hayam—the aśvamedha horse; śubhram—handsome; śyāma-karṇamwith black ears; mano-javam—running as fast as the mind; tam—that; ārurukṣuḥ—wishing to ride; duṣṭaḥ—wicked; aham—I; corayitvā—stealing; talamto Talaloka; gataḥ—went.

English translation of verse 5.2.20:

Yearning to ride it, I stole the splendid sacrificial horse, which had one black ear and ran as fast as the mind, and went to Talaloka.
