The Garga-samhita Verse 5.1.9, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. मया निवारितः सो ऽपि
विस्तृतैर् निगडैर् दृढैः
बद्ध्वा तं भार्यया सार्धं
कारागारे रुरोध ह

mayā nivāritaḥ so 'pi
vistṛtair nigaḍair dṛḍhaiḥ
baddhvā taṃ bhāryayā sārdhaṃ
kārāgāre rurodha ha

mayāby me; nivāritaḥforbidden; saḥ—he; api—also; vistṛtaiḥ—with great; nigaḍaiḥ—chains; dṛḍhaiḥ—firm; baddhvā—binding; tam—him; bhāryayā—with his wife; sārdham—with; kārāgāre—into a prison cell; rurodha—locked up; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 5.1.9:

When I forbade him to do that, with great chains he tightly bound Vasudeva and his wife, and locked them in a prison cell.
