तदैव तान् गोप-गनान् पार्सदास् ते गदा-धराः
tadaiva tān gopa-ganān pārsadās te gadā-dharāḥ
र्जुम् क्र्त्वा नतिम् क्र्त्वा दुरे स्थाप्य प्रयत्नतः
rjum krtvā natim krtvā dure sthāpya prayatnataḥ
tadā—then; eva—indeed; tān—them; gopa-ganān—the gopas; pārsadāḥ—the associates; te—they; gadā-dharāḥ—holding clubs; rjum—straight; krtvā—doing; natim—obeisances; krtva—doing; dure—far away; sthapya—staying; prayatnatah -carefully.
English translation of verse 4.22.14:
From a distance the associates of the Lord of Vaikuntha, who were all carrying great clubs, respectfully offered daṇḍavat obeisances to the gopas.
