The Garga-samhita Verse 4.22.14, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. तदैव तान् गोप-गनान् पार्सदास् ते गदा-धराः

tadaiva tān gopa-ganān pārsadās te gadā-dharāḥ

र्जुम् क्र्त्वा नतिम् क्र्त्वा दुरे स्थाप्य प्रयत्नतः

rjum krtvā natim krtvā dure sthāpya prayatnataḥ

tadāthen; eva—indeed; tān—them; gopa-ganān—the gopas; pārsadāḥ—the associates; te—they; gadā-dharāḥholding clubs; rjum—straight; krtvā—doing; natim—obeisances; krtva—doing; dure—far away; sthapyastaying; prayatnatah -carefully.

English translation of verse 4.22.14:

From a distance the associates of the Lord of Vaikuntha, who were all carrying great clubs, respectfully offered daṇḍavat obeisances to the gopas.
