The Garga-samhita Verse 4.21.20, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 21 (Lord Krsna Extinguishes the Forest Fire and Reveals Himself to the Brahmana’s Wives) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

श्रि-नारद उवाच ता द्र्स्त्वा ब्राह्मनाः सर्वे स्वात्मानम् धिक् प्रचक्रिरे दिद्र्क्सवस् ते श्रि-क्र्स्नम् कम्साद् भिता न चागताः

śri-nārada uvāca tā drstvā brāhmanāḥ sarve svātmānam dhik pracakrire didrksavas te śri-krsnam kamsād bhitā na cāgatāḥ

śri-nārada uvāca—Sri Nārada said; tā—they; drstvā—seeing; brāhmanāḥ—the brāhmanas; sarve—all; svātmānam—to themselves; dhik—rebuke; pracakrire—did; didrksavaḥ—yearning to see; te—they; śri-krsnam—Sri Krsna; kamsāt—of Kamsa; bhitā—afraid; na—not; ca—and; āgatāḥ—went.

English translation of verse 4.21.20:

Sri Nārada said: When they saw their wives, the brāhmanas rebuked themselves. Although they also yearned to see Lord Krsna, out of fear of Kamsa they did not go to see Him.
