The Garga-samhita Verse 4.20.21, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 20 (The Killing of Pralamba) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

तदैव चरनम् प्राप्तः

tadaiva caranam prāptaḥ

कुवेरस्य महात्मनः

kuverasya mahātmanaḥ

नत्वा तत्-प्रार्थनम् चक्रे क्र्तान्जलि-पुतः चनैः

natvā tat-prārthanam cakre krtānjali-putaḥ canaiḥ

tadāthen; eva—indeed; caranam—shelter; prāptaḥ—attained; kuverasya—of Kuvera; mahātmanaḥ—the great soul; natvā—bowing down; tat-prārthanam—a prayer to him; cakre—did; krtānjali-putaḥ—with folded hands; canaiḥ—slowly.

English translation of verse 4.20.21:

At once he took shelter of the great soul Kuvera. With folded hands he bowed down and presented his appeal.
