The Garga-samhita Verse 4.18.2, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 18 (The Names and Worship of Sri Yamuna) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

श्री-सौभरिर् उवाच पतलम् पद्धतिम् वक्स्ये यमुनाया महा-मते क्र्त्वा च्रुत्वाथ जप्त्वा वा जीवन्-मुक्तो भवेन् नरः

śrī-saubharir uvāca patalam paddhatim vaksye yamunāyā mahā-mate krtvā crutvātha japtvā vā jīvan-mukto bhaven naraḥ

śrī-saubharir uvāca—Srī Saubhari said; patalampatala; paddhatim—paddhati; vaksye—I will speak; yamunāyā—of the Yamunā; mahā-mate—O noble-hearted one; krtvā—having done; crutvā—having heard; athathen; japtvā—having chanted; vā—or; jīvat—while alive in this world; muktaḥ—liberated; bhaven—may be; naraḥ—a person.

English translation of verse 4.18.2:

Srī Saubhari said: I will now describe to you the Yamunā-patala and the Yamunā-paddhati. One who performs them, hears them, or chants them becomes liberated even in this life.
