त्रिभिर् मासैः पथेद् धीमान् ब्रह्मचारी मिताचनः
tribhir māsaiḥ pathed dhīmān brahmacārī mitācanaḥ
सर्व-राज्याधिपत्यम् च प्राप्यते नात्र सम्चयः
sarva-rājyādhipatyam ca prāpyate nātra samcayaḥ
tribhiḥ—for three; māsaiḥ—months; pathet—recites; dhīmān—wise; brahmacārī—celibzate; mitācanaḥ—eating frugally; sarva-rājyādhipatyam—a great kingdom; ca—and; prāpyate—attains; na—not; atra—here; samcayaḥ—doubt.
English translation of verse 4.16.12:
A wise brahmacārī who eats little and for three months recites this kavaca attains a great kingdom. Of this there is no doubt.
