The Garga-samhita Verse 4.15.9, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. कालिन्दी-जल-कल्लोल-
कोलाहल-समाकुले
तद्-दोल-खेलनं चक्रुस्
ता गोप्यः प्रेम-विह्वलाः

kālindī-jala-kallola-
kolāhala-samākule
tad-dola-khelanaṃ cakrus
tā gopyaḥ prema-vihvalāḥ

kālindīof the Yamunā; jalawater; kallolawaves; kolāhalauproar; samākule—filled; tad-dola-khelanam—swinging pastime; cakruḥ—did; tā—they; gopyaḥ—gopīs; prema-vihvalāḥ—filled with love.

English translation of verse 4.15.9:

As the Yamunā was filled with waves, these gopīs, deeply in love with Kṛṣṇa, enjoyed pastimes on a swing.
