The Garga-samhita Verse 4.15.4, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 15 (The Story of the Women of Barhishmati-pura, the Apsaras, and the Women of Sutala and Nagendra) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

तथा सुतल-वासिन्यो
वामनस्य वरात् स्त्रियः
तथा नागेन्द्र-कन्याश् च
जाताः शेष-वरात् परात्

tathā sutala-vāsinyo
vāmanasya varāt striyaḥ
tathā nāgendra-kanyāś ca
jātāḥ śeṣa-varāt parāt

tathā—so; sutala-vāsinyaḥ—the residents of Sutala; vāmanasya—of Lord Vāmana; varāt—by the blessing; striyaḥwomen; tathā—so; nāgendraof the serpent-king; kanyāḥthe daughters; ca—and; jātāḥ—born; śeṣa-varāt—by the blessing of Lord Śeṣa; parāt—great.

English translation of verse 4.15.4:

Some had been the women of Sutalaloka and became gopīs by the blessings of Lord Vāmana. Others had been the daughters of the king of the Nāgas and they became gopīs by the spiritual blessings of Lord Śeṣa.
