यदूनां च कुरूणां च
बलयोस् तु परस्परम्
बाणैः खड्गैस् त्रिशूलैश् च
घोरं युद्धं बभूव ह

yadūnāṃ ca kurūṇāṃ ca
balayos tu parasparam
bāṇaiḥ khaḍgais triśūlaiś ca
ghoraṃ yuddhaṃ babhūva ha

yadūnām—of the Yadus; ca—and; kurūṇām—the Kurus; ca—and; balayoḥ—of the armies; tu—indeed; parasparam—mutual; bāṇaiḥ—with arrows; khaḍgaiḥ—with swords; triśūlaiḥ—with tridents; ca—and; ghoram—horrible; yuddham—battle; babhūva—was; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 4.14.22:

Armed with arrows, swords, and tridents, the armies of the Yadus and Kurus fought a gory battle.
