श्री-नारद उवाच
इत्थं श्रुत्वा वचस् तस्य
कंसो वै दीन-वत्सलः
दैत्य-कोटि-समायुक्तो
मनो गन्तुं समादधे

śrī-nārada uvāca
itthaṃ śrutvā vacas tasya
kaṃso vai dīna-vatsalaḥ
daitya-koṭi-samāyukto
mano gantuṃ samādadhe

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; ittham—thus; śrutvāhearing; vacaḥ—words; tasya—of him; kaṃsaḥKaṃsa; vai—indeed; dīnaof the distressed; vatsalaḥ—the friend; daitya-koṭi-samāyuktaḥ—with ten million demons; manaḥ—a mind; gantum—to go; samādadhe—had.

English translation of verse 4.14.18:

Śrī Nārada said: After hearing these words, Kaṃsa, the friend of the distressed, decided to go there with ten million demons.
