रङ्गोजि-नाम नृप रङ्ग-पट्टने
गोपो ऽस्ति नीतिज्ञा-वरः पुराधिपः
स्व-शत्रु-सम्रुद्ध-पुरो महाधि-भृद्
अलब्ध-नाथः शरणं गतस् तव
raṅgoji-nāma nṛpa raṅga-paṭṭane
gopo 'sti nītijñā-varaḥ purādhipaḥ
sva-śatru-samruddha-puro mahādhi-bhṛd
alabdha-nāthaḥ śaraṇaṃ gatas tava
raṅgoji-nāma—named Rangoji; nṛpa—O king; raṅga-paṭṭane—in ranga-pattana; gopaḥ—a gopa; asti—is; nītijña-varaḥ—the best of the righteous; purādhipaḥ—the ruler of the city; sva-śatru-samruddha-puraḥ—his army defeated; mahādhi-bhṛt—distressed; alabdha-nāthaḥ—without shelter; śaraṇam—shelter; gataḥ—attained; tava—of you.
English translation of verse 4.14.15:
O king, a righteous gopa named Raṅgoji is the ruler of the city Raṅga-paṭṭana.
His army defeated, he is now distressed and without a shelter. Now he takes shelter of you.
