आजग्मुस् ते गजाह्वयम्
कति वर्षानि रङ्गोजिः
कारागारे स्थितो ऽभवत्
baddhvā taṃ dāmabhir gopaṃ
ājagmus te gajāhvayam
kati varṣāni raṅgojiḥ
kārāgāre sthito 'bhavat
baddhvā—binding; tam—him; dāmabhiḥ—with ropes; gopam—the gopa; ājagmuḥ—came; te—they; gajāhvayam—to hastinapura; kati—how many?; varṣāni—years; raṅgojiḥ—Rangoji; kārāgāre—in prison; sthitaḥ—staying; abhavat—was.
