The Garga-samhita Verse 4.13.7, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 13 (The Story of the Demigoddesses) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

श्री-कृष्णं सुन्दरं दृष्ट्वा
मोहिताः कन्यकाश् च ताः
दामोदरस्य प्राप्त्य्-अर्थं
चक्रुर् माघ-व्रतं परम्

śrī-kṛṣṇaṃ sundaraṃ dṛṣṭvā
mohitāḥ kanyakāś ca tāḥ
dāmodarasya prāpty-arthaṃ
cakrur māgha-vrataṃ param

śrī-kṛṣṇam—Śrī Kṛṣṇa; sundaram—handsome; dṛṣṭvāseeing; mohitāḥ—enchanted; kanyakāś—the daughters; ca—and; tāḥ—they; dāmodarasya—of Kṛṣṇa; prāpty-arthamto attain; cakruḥ—did; māgha-vratam—the magha-vrata vow; param—great.

English translation of verse 4.13.7:

When they saw handsome Kṛṣṇa they were bewildered with love for Him. To attain Him they performed the great vow of Māgha-vrata.
