तेषु गृहेषु सञ्जाताः
कन्यका देव-वाक्यतः
काश्चिद् दिव्या अदिव्याश् च
तथा त्रि-गुण-वृत्तयः
teṣu gṛheṣu sañjātāḥ
kanyakā deva-vākyataḥ
kāścid divyā adivyāś ca
tathā tri-guṇa-vṛttayaḥ
teṣu—there; gṛheṣu—in the homes; sañjātāḥ—born; kanyakā—daughters; deva-vākyataḥ—by the word of the Lord; kāścit—some; divyā—from the heavenly planets; adivyāḥ—not from the heavenly p;lanets; ca—and; tathā—so; tri-guṇa-vṛttayaḥ—endowed with three virtues.
English translation of verse 4.12.4:
Following the orders of the demigods, these girls, endowed with three virtues, some from the celestial planets, and some not from the celestial planets, took birth in the homes of the Upanandas.
