हरिश्चन्द्रेण राज्ञापि
कृतम् एकादशी-व्रतम्
तेन लब्ध्वा मही-राज्यं
वैकुण्ठं स-पुरो ययौ
hariścandreṇa rājñāpi
kṛtam ekādaśī-vratam
tena labdhvā mahī-rājyaṃ
vaikuṇṭhaṃ sa-puro yayau
hariścandreṇa rājñā—by King hariscandra; api—also; kṛtam—done; ekādaśī-vratam—ekādaśī; tena—by that; labdhvā—attaining; mahī-rājyam—a great kingdom; vaikuṇṭham—to Vaikuṇṭha; sa-puraḥ—with his citizens; yayau—went.
English translation of verse 4.9.20:
By following ekādaśī, King Hariścandra attained a great kingdom and, taking all his subjects with him, went to Vaikuṇṭha.
