The Garga-samhita Verse 4.9.17, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. अम्बरीषेण राज्ञापि
कृतम् एकादशी-व्रतम्
नास्पृशद् ब्रह्म-शापो ऽपि
यो न प्रतिहतः क्वचित्

ambarīṣeṇa rājñāpi
kṛtam ekādaśī-vratam
nāspṛśad brahma-śāpo 'pi
yo na pratihataḥ kvacit

ambarīṣeṇa rājñā—by King Ambarīṣa; api—also; kṛtam—done; ekādaśī-vratam—ekādaśī; na—not; aspṛśat—touced; brahmaof a brāhmaṇa; śāpaḥ—the curse; api—even; yaḥ—who; na—not; pratihataḥ—repelled; kvacit—at all.

English translation of verse 4.9.17:

Even though he did nothing to protect himself from it, King Ambarīṣa, a follower of ekādaśī, was untouched by a brāhmaṇa's curse.
