The Garga-samhita Verse 4.8.41, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 8 (In the Story of the Yajna-sitas, the Glories of Ekadashi) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

अश्वमेध-सहस्राणि
राजसूय-शतानि च
एकादश्य्-उपवासस्य
कलं नार्हन्ति षोडशीम्

aśvamedha-sahasrāṇi
rājasūya-śatāni ca
ekādaśy-upavāsasya
kalaṃ nārhanti ṣoḍaśīm

aśvamedha-sahasrāṇi—thousand asvamedha-yajnas; rājasūya-śatāni—a hundred rajasuya-yajnas; ca—and; ekādaśy-upavāsasya—of one who fasts on ekādaśī; kalama part; na—not; arhanti—is equal; ṣoḍaśīm—sixteenth.

English translation of verse 4.8.41:

The results of a thousand aśvamedha-yajñas and a hundred rājasūya-yajñas are not equal to even a sixteenth part of the result of fasting on ekādaśī.
