The Garga-samhita Verse 4.8.9, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 8 (In the Story of the Yajna-sitas, the Glories of Ekadashi) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

श्री-राधोवाच
श्री-कृष्णस्य प्रसादार्थं
कुरुतैकादशी-व्रतम्
तेन वश्यो हरिः साक्षाद्
भविष्यति न संशयः

śrī-rādhovāca
śrī-kṛṣṇasya prasādārthaṃ
kurutaikādaśī-vratam
tena vaśyo hariḥ sākṣād
bhaviṣyati na saṃśayaḥ

śrī-rādhā uvāca—Srī Rādhā said; śrī-kṛṣṇasya—of Srī Kṛṣṇa; prasādārtham—to attain the favor; kurutafollow; ekādaśī-vratam—the vow of ekādaśī; tena—by that; vaśyaḥ—brought under cotnrol; hariḥ—Lord Kṛṣṇa; sākṣātdirectly; bhaviṣyati—will be; na—no; saṃśayaḥ—doubt.

English translation of verse 4.8.9:

Srī Rādhā said: To attain Lord Kṛṣṇa's mercy you should follow the vow of fasting on ekādaśī. In that way You will make Lord Kṛṣṇa into your submissive servant. Of this there is no doubt.
