The Garga-samhita Verse 4.6.7, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. तद्-वाक्यं माथुराः श्रुत्वा
कंस-भीताः सु-बुद्धयः
तं दूतं रहसि प्राहुः
कर्णान्ते मन्द-वाग् यथा

tad-vākyaṃ māthurāḥ śrutvā
kaṃsa-bhītāḥ su-buddhayaḥ
taṃ dūtaṃ rahasi prāhuḥ
karṇānte manda-vāg yathā

tad-vākyam—his words; mathuraḥthe peole of Mathura; śrutvāhearing; kaṃsa-bhītāḥ—afraid of Kaṃsa; su-buddhayaḥ—intelligent; tam—to him; dūtam—the messenger; rahasi—in private; prāhuḥ—said; karṇānte—in the ear; manda-vāg—whispering; yathā—as.

English translation of verse 4.6.7:

Hearing these words, the intelligent people of Mathurā, who were all afraid of Kaṃsa, took him to a secluded place and whispered in his ear.
