ताभिः सार्धं सदा हास्यं
व्रज-वीथिषु माधवः
स्मितैः पीत-पटादानैः
कर्षणैः स चकार ह

tābhiḥ sārdhaṃ sadā hāsyaṃ
vraja-vīthiṣu mādhavaḥ
smitaiḥ pīta-paṭādānaiḥ
karṣaṇaiḥ sa cakāra ha

tābhiḥ—them; sārdham—with; sadāalways; hāsyam—joking; vraja-vīthiṣu—on the pathways of Vraja; mādhavaḥ—Kṛṣṇa; smitaiḥ—with smiles; pīta-paṭādānaiḥ—with yellow garments; karṣaṇaiḥ—with tugging; sa—He; cakāradid; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 4.4.5:

Smiling, and tugging at their yellow garments, Kṛṣṇa teased them and joked with them on the pathways of Vraja.
