नन्द-राजस्य वलये
मङ्गलो दैन्य-पीडिताः
विचिन्त्य प्रेषयाम् आस
कन्यकाश् चारु-लोचनाः
nanda-rājasya valaye
maṅgalo dainya-pīḍitāḥ
vicintya preṣayām āsa
kanyakāś cāru-locanāḥ
nanda-rājasya—of King Nanda; valaye—in the circle; maṅgalaḥ—mangala; dainya-pīḍitāḥ—suffering in poverty; vicintya—considering; preṣayām āsa—sent; kanyakāḥ—daughters; cāru-locanāḥ—beautiful-eyed.

After some thought, the pauper Maṅgala sent his beautiful-eyed daughters to King Nanda's circle.
