The Garga-samhita Verse 4.2.5, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 2 (The Story of the Gopis That Had Been Sages) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

तदा श्री-रामस्य वराद्
दण्डकारण्य-वासिनः
ऋषयः स्त्रीत्वम् आपन्ना
बभूवुस् तस्य कन्यकाः

tadā śrī-rāmasya varād
daṇḍakāraṇya-vāsinaḥ
ṛṣayaḥ strītvam āpannā
babhūvus tasya kanyakāḥ

tadāthen; śrī-rāmasya—of Lord rāma; varāt—from the benediction; daṇḍakāraṇya-vāsinaḥ—living in Daṇāka forest; ṛṣayaḥ—sages; strītvam—womanhood; āpannā—attained; babhūvuḥ—became; tasya—of him; kanyakāḥ—the daughters.

English translation of verse 4.2.5:

Ths sages of Daṇḍakāraṇya, who by Lord Rāmacandra's blessing were destined to become gopīs, became the daughters of Maṅgala.
