कोटि-योजन-दीर्घाङ्गैः
शृङ्गानां शतकैः स्फुरत्
उच्चकैः स्वर्ण-कलशैः
प्रासादम् इव मैथिल

koṭi-yojana-dīrghāṅgaiḥ
śṛṅgānāṃ śatakaiḥ sphurat
uccakaiḥ svarṇa-kalaśaiḥ
prāsādam iva maithila

koṭi-yojanaeithy million miles; dīrghatall; aṅgaiḥ—with limbs; śṛṅgānām—of peaks; śatakaiḥ—with a hundred; sphuratmanifested; uccakaiḥ—tall; svarṇa-kalaśaiḥ—with many golden domes; prāsādam—a palace; iva—like; maithilaO king of Mithilā.

English translation of verse 3.9.38:

It had a hundred eighty-million-mile-tall peaks. O king of Mithilā, it was like a great palace with many golden domes.
