The Garga-samhita Verse 3.7.36, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 3 of Chapter 7 (The Holy Places of Shri Giriraja) of Canto 3 (giriraja-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

चतुर्णां भुवि नाथानां
कृत्वा यात्रां नरः सुधीः
न पश्येद् देव-दमनं
स न यात्रा-फलं लभेत्

caturṇāṃ bhuvi nāthānāṃ
kṛtvā yātrāṃ naraḥ sudhīḥ
na paśyed deva-damanaṃ
sa na yātrā-phalaṃ labhet

caturṇām—of the four; bhuvi—in the world; nāthānām—of the Lords; kṛtvā—having done; yātrām—journey; naraḥa person; sudhīḥintelligent; na—not; paśyet—may see; deva-damanam—the Supreme Lord; sa—he; na—not; yātrāof the pilgrimage; phalam—the result; labhet—attains.

English translation of verse 3.7.36:

An intelligent person who visits the places of these Deities but does not see the Lord there does not attain the real result of his visit.
