The Garga-samhita Verse 3.6.31, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 3 of Chapter 6 (The Test of Shri Krishna) of Canto 3 (giriraja-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

तेषां तु कोटि-भाराणि
निधाय शकटेषु च
ददौ तेभ्यो वृणानेभ्यो
नन्द-राजो व्रजेश्वरः

teṣāṃ tu koṭi-bhārāṇi
nidhāya śakaṭeṣu ca
dadau tebhyo vṛṇānebhyo
nanda-rājo vrajeśvaraḥ

teṣām—of them; tu—indewed; koṭi-bhārāṇi—millions of bharas; nidhāyaplacing; śakaṭeṣu—on carts; ca—and; dadau—gave; tebhyaḥ—them; vṛṇānebhyaḥ—to messengers bearing amrriage proposal; nanda-rājaḥ—King Nanda; vrajeśvaraḥ—the king of Vraja.

English translation of verse 3.6.31:

Placing many millions of bhāras of these pearls on many wagons, Nanda, the king of Vraja, gave them to the men carrying the marriage-proposal.
