The Garga-samhita Verse 3.6.23, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-नन्द उवाच
नास्ति पूर्वं यत्-समानं
तत्रापि न्यूनतां गतम्
अहो कलङ्को भविता
ज्ञातिषु स्वेषु सर्वतः

śrī-nanda uvāca
nāsti pūrvaṃ yat-samānaṃ
tatrāpi nyūnatāṃ gatam
aho kalaṅko bhavitā
jñātiṣu sveṣu sarvataḥ

śrī-nanda uvāca—Śrī Nanda said; na—not; astiis; pūrvam—before; yat-samānam—equal to that; tatra—there; api—also; nyūnatām—diminution; gatam—attained; ahaḥ—Oh; kalaṅkaḥ—fault; bhavitāwill be; jñātiṣu—among the relatives; sveṣu—own; sarvataḥ—in al, respects.

English translation of verse 3.6.23:

Śrī Nanda said: There are fewer necklaces than before. Alas, this is the fault of my own relatives!
