The Garga-samhita Verse 3.6.16, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 3 of Chapter 6 (The Test of Shri Krishna) of Canto 3 (giriraja-khanda).

श्री-नारद उवाच
दृष्ट्वा द्रव्यं परो नन्दो
विस्मितो ऽपि विचारयन्
प्रष्टुं यशोदां तत्-तुल्यं
नित्वा चान्तः-पुरं ययौ

śrī-nārada uvāca
dṛṣṭvā dravyaṃ paro nando
vismito 'pi vicārayan
praṣṭuṃ yaśodāṃ tat-tulyaṃ
nitvā cāntaḥ-puraṃ yayau

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; dṛṣṭvāseeing; dravyam—thing; paraḥgreat; nandaḥNanda; vismitaḥastonished; api—even; vicārayan—considering; praṣṭum—to ask; yaśodām—Yaśodā; tat-tulyam—equal to that; nitvā—bringing; ca—and; antaḥ-puramto the inner rooms of the palace; yayau—went.

English translation of verse 3.6.16:

Śrī Nārada said: Gazing at the precious gift, Nanda became filled with wonder.

Thinking to ask Yaśodā if they had anything equal to that gift, he went to the palace's inner rooms.
