The Garga-samhita Verse 3.5.32, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 3 of Chapter 5 (The Dispute Among the Gopas) of Canto 3 (giriraja-khanda).

भुवो भारावताराय
कंसादीनां वधाय च
ब्रह्मणा प्रार्थितः कृष्णो
बभूव जगती-तले

bhuvo bhārāvatārāya
kaṃsādīnāṃ vadhāya ca
brahmaṇā prārthitaḥ kṛṣṇo
babhūva jagatī-tale

bhuvaḥof the earth; bhārāvatārāya—to remove the burden; kaṃsādīnām—beginning with Kaṃsa; vadhāya—for killing; ca—and; brahmaṇā—by Brahmā; prārthitaḥ—requested; kṛṣṇaḥKṛṣṇa; babhūva—became; jagatī-tale—on the earth.

English translation of verse 3.5.32:

On the demigod Brahmā's request, Kṛṣṇa came to this universe to remove the earth's burden and kill the demons headed by Kaṃsa.
