श्री-गोपा ऊचुः
वृषभानु-वर त्वं वै
ज्ञाति-मुख्यो महा-मनाः
नन्द-राजं त्यज ज्ञातेर्
हे गोपेश्वर भू-पते
śrī-gopā ūcuḥ
vṛṣabhānu-vara tvaṃ vai
jñāti-mukhyo mahā-manāḥ
nanda-rājaṃ tyaja jñāter
he gopeśvara bhū-pate
śrī-gopāḥ ūcuḥ—the gopas said; vṛṣabhānu-vara—O King Vṛṣabhānu; tvam—you; vai—indeed; jñāti-mukhyaḥ—the best of the family; mahā-manāḥ—noble-hearted; nanda-rājam—King Nanda; tyaja—reject; jñāteḥ—of the relative; he—O; gopeśvara—king of the gopas; bhū-pate—O king.
English translation of verse 3.5.25:
The gopas said: O King Vṛṣabhānu, you have a noble heart. You are the best person in our community. O king, O leader of the gopas, you should sever your ties of friendship with King Nanda.
