The Garga-samhita Verse 3.2.25, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 3 of Chapter 2 (The Great Festival of Shri Giriraja) of Canto 3 (giriraja-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

दूराच् चिक्षेप वज्रं स्वं
नन्द-गोष्ठ-जिघंसया
स्तम्भयाम् आस शक्रस्य
स-व्रजं माधवो भुजम्

dūrāc cikṣepa vajraṃ svaṃ
nanda-goṣṭha-jighaṃsayā
stambhayām āsa śakrasya
sa-vrajaṃ mādhavo bhujam

dūrātfrom far away; cikṣepa—threw; vajram—thunderbolt; svam—own; nanda-goṣṭha-jighaṃsayā—wishing to destroy Nanda's village; stambhayām āsa—paralyzed; śakrasya—of Indra; sa-vrajam—with the thunderbolt; mādhavaḥ—Kṛṣṇa; bhujam—arm.

English translation of verse 3.2.25:

Wishing to destroy Nanda's village, Indra threw his thunderbolt from far away.

Kṛṣṇa suddenly paralyzed both the thunderbolt and the arm that threw it.
