The Garga-samhita Verse 3.2.16, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 3 of Chapter 2 (The Great Festival of Shri Giriraja) of Canto 3 (giriraja-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

यथोच्छिलीन्ध्रं शिशुर् अश्रमो गजः
स्व-पुष्करेणैव च पुष्करं गिरिम्
धृत्वा बभौ श्री-व्रज-राज-नन्दनः
कृपा-करो ऽसौ करुणामयः प्रभुः

yathocchilīndhraṃ śiśur aśramo gajaḥ
sva-puṣkareṇaiva ca puṣkaraṃ girim
dhṛtvā babhau śrī-vraja-rāja-nandanaḥ
kṛpā-karo 'sau karuṇāmayaḥ prabhuḥ

yathā—as; ucchilīndhram—a mushroom; śiśuḥof a child; aśramaḥwithout fatigue; gajaḥand elephant; sva-puṣkareṇa—with a lotus; eva—indeed; ca—and; puṣkaram—a lotus; girim—the hill; dhṛtvā—holding; babhau—shone; śrī-vraja-rāja-nandanaḥ—the prince of Vraja; kṛpā-karaḥ—kind; asau—He; karuṇāmayaḥ—compassionate; prabhuḥ—the Lord.

English translation of verse 3.2.16:

As a child effortlessly holds a mushroom, or as an elephant holds a lotus in its tongue, so Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the prince of Vraja, the kind Supreme Personality of Godhead, held Govardhana Hill.
