The Garga-samhita Verse 3.2.8, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-मैथिलानां किल कोसलानां
तथा श्रुतीनां ऋषि-रूप-कारणम्
तथा त्व् अयोध्या-पुर-वासिनीनां
श्री-यज्ञ-सीता-वन-वासिनीनाम्

śrī-maithilānāṃ kila kosalānāṃ
tathā śrutīnāṃ ṛṣi-rūpa-kāraṇam
tathā tv ayodhyā-pura-vāsinīnāṃ
śrī-yajña-sītā-vana-vāsinīnām

śrī-maithilānām—of the residents of Mithilā; kilaindeed; kosalānām—of the residents of Kosala; tathā—so; śrutīnām—of personified Vedas; ṛṣi-rūpakānām—of the sages; tathā—so; tv—indeed; ayodhyā-pura-vāsinīnām—of the residnts of Ayodhyā; śrī-yajña-sītāof the Yajña-Sītās; vanaof the forest; vāsinīnām—of the residents.

English translation of verse 3.2.8:

In their previous births these gopīs had been the women of Mithilā, the women of Kosala, the personified Vedas, the great sages, the women of Ayodhyā, the Yajña-Sītās, the women of the forest, . . .
