The Garga-samhita Verse 3.1.26, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 3 of Chapter 1 (The Worship of Shri Giriraja) of Canto 3 (giriraja-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

गोपी-गोपाल-वृन्दैश् च
गवां नृत्यं च कारयेत्
मङ्गलैर् जय-शब्दैश् च

gopī-gopāla-vṛndaiś ca
gavāṃ nṛtyaṃ ca kārayet
maṅgalair jaya-śabdaiś ca

कुर्याद् गोवर्धनोत्सवम्

kuryād govardhanotsavam

gopī-gopāla-vṛndaiḥ—by the gopas and gopīs; ca—and; gavām—of the cows; nṛtyam—dancing; ca—and; kārayet—should make; maṅgalaiḥ—auspicious; jayavictory; śabdaiḥ—with sounds; ca—and; kuryāt—should do; govardhanafor Govardhana Hill; utsavam—a festival.

English translation of verse 3.1.26:

Then he should have the gopas and gopīs dance among the cows and call out

"Victory!" In this way he should perform a festival to worship Govardhana Hill.
