The Garga-samhita Verse 3.1.18, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. वस्त्रं दिव्यं च नैवेद्यं
आसनं सर्वतो ऽधिकम्
मालालङ्कार-निचयं
दत्त्वा दीपावलिं पराम्

vastraṃ divyaṃ ca naivedyaṃ
āsanaṃ sarvato 'dhikam
mālālaṅkāra-nicayaṃ
dattvā dīpāvaliṃ parām

vastram—garments; divyam—splendid; ca—and; naivedyam—food; āsanam—a seat; sarvataḥ—than all; adhikam—better; mālāgarlands; alaṅkāraornaments; nicayam—many; dattvāgiving; dīpāvalim—a series of lamps; parām—great.

English translation of verse 3.1.18:

Then he should offer splendid garments, food, a great throne, many garlands and ornaments, and many lamps.
