एवं षण्-मासिकी रत्रिः
कृता कृष्णेन मैथिल
गोपीनां रास-लीलायां
व्यतीता क्षणवत् सुखैः
evaṃ ṣaṇ-māsikī ratriḥ
kṛtā kṛṣṇena maithila
gopīnāṃ rāsa-līlāyāṃ
vyatītā kṣaṇavat sukhaiḥ
evam—thus; ṣaṇ-māsikī—six months; ratriḥ—night; kṛtā—done; kṛṣṇena—with Kṛṣṇa; maithila—O kin gof Mithilā; gopīnām—of the gopīs; rāsa-līlāyām—in the rasa pastime; vyatītā—passed; kṣaṇavat—like a moment; sukhaiḥ—happily.
English translation of verse 2.25.34:
O king of Mithilā, although in truth it lasted for six months, the night Lord Kṛṣṇa enjoyed the rāsa dance with the gopīs seemed to Them only a single moment of great happiness when it was over.
