The Garga-samhita Verse 2.25.31, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-नारद उवाच
तथास्तु चोक्त्वा भगवान्
वृन्दारण्ये मनोहरे
कालिन्दी-निकटे राजन्
रास-मण्डल-मण्डिते
निकुञ्ज-पार्श्वे पुलिने
वंशीवट-समीपतः
शिवो ऽपि चासुरि-मुनिर्
नित्यं वासं चकार ह
śrī-nārada uvāca
tathāstu coktvā bhagavān
vṛndāraṇye manohare
kālindī-nikaṭe rājan
rāsa-maṇḍala-maṇḍite
nikuñja-pārśve puline
vaṃśīvaṭa-samīpataḥ
śivo 'pi cāsuri-munir
nityaṃ vāsaṃ cakāra ha
śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; tathāstu—so be it; ca—and; uktvā—saying; bhagavān—the Lord; vṛndāraṇye—in Vṛndāvana; manohare—beautiful; kālindī-nikaṭe—near the Yamunā; rājan—O king; rāsa-maṇḍala-maṇḍite—decorated by the circle of the rasa dance; nikuñja-pārśve—in the side of the forest; puline—on the shore; vaṃśīvaṭa-samīpataḥ—near Vamsivata; śivaḥ—Lord Śiva; api—and; ca—and; āsuri-muniḥ—Asuri Muni; nityam—eternally; vāsam—residence; cakāra—did; ha—indeed.
English translation of verse 2.25.31:
The Lord then said, "So be it." From that moment Lord Śiva and Asuri Muni made their residence there, at Vaṃśīvaṭa, where the forest grove by the Yamunā's shore is decorated with the circle of the rāsa dance.
