वृन्दावने निकुञ्जे ऽपि
न ददर्श परात् परम्
तदा मुनिः खिन्न-मनाः
श्री-कृष्ण-विरहातुरः
vṛndāvane nikuñje 'pi
na dadarśa parāt param
tadā muniḥ khinna-manāḥ
śrī-kṛṣṇa-virahāturaḥ
vṛndāvane—in Vṛndāvana; nikuñje—in the forest; api—even; na—not; dadarśa—saw; parāt—than the greatest; param—greater; tadā—then; muniḥ—the sage; khinna-manāḥ—depressed; śrī-kṛṣṇa-virahāturaḥ—anguished by separation from Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
English translation of verse 2.24.41:
Even in Vṛndāvana forest he could not find the Supreme Lord. Then, separated from Lord Kṛṣṇa, the sage became filled with anguish.
