The Garga-samhita Verse 2.24.39, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 24 (The Story of Asuri Muni in the Rasa-dance Pastime) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

एवं ब्रुवन् मनो-यायी
वैकुण्ठं प्राप्तवंस् ततः
नापश्यत् तत्र देवेशं
रमां वैकुण्ठ-वासिनीम्

evaṃ bruvan mano-yāyī
vaikuṇṭhaṃ prāptavaṃs tataḥ
nāpaśyat tatra deveśaṃ
ramāṃ vaikuṇṭha-vāsinīm

evam—thus; bruvan—speaking; mano-yāyītraveling at the speed of mind; vaikuṇṭham—to Vaikuṇṭha; prāptavaṃḥ—went; tataḥ—then; na—not; aapaśyat—saw; tatra—there; deveśam—the Supreme Lord; ramām—the goddess of fortune; vaikuṇṭha-vāsinīm—who resides in Vaikuṇṭha Thinking in this way, he traveled at the speed of mind to the spiritual world of Vaikuṇṭha. There he could not find Lord Nārāyaṇa and goddess Lakṣmī.
