The Garga-samhita Verse 2.24.36, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 24 (The Story of Asuri Muni in the Rasa-dance Pastime) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

श्वेतद्वीपं ययौ दिव्यं
क्षीर-सागर-शोभितम्
तत्रापि शेष-पर्यङ्के
न ददर्श हरिं पुनः

śvetadvīpaṃ yayau divyaṃ
kṣīra-sāgara-śobhitam
tatrāpi śeṣa-paryaṅke
na dadarśa hariṃ punaḥ

śvetadvīpam—to Svetadvipa; yayau—went; divyam—splendid; kṣīra-sāgara- śobhitam—glorious in the milk ocean; tatrāpi—there also; śeṣa-paryaṅke—on the couch of Śeṣa; na—not; dadarśa—saw; harim—Lord Kṛṣṇa; punaḥ—again.

English translation of verse 2.24.36:

When he went to glorious Śvetadvīpa in the milk ocean, again he could not find Lord Kṛṣṇa reclining on the couch of Śeṣa.
