The Garga-samhita Verse 2.24.35, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 24 (The Story of Asuri Muni in the Rasa-dance Pastime) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

पप्रच्छ पार्षदंस् तत्र
क्व गतो भगवान् इतः
न विद्मो भो वयं चोक्तो
मुनिः खिन्न-मनास् तदा

papraccha pārṣadaṃs tatra
kva gato bhagavān itaḥ
na vidmo bho vayaṃ cokto
muniḥ khinna-manās tadā

papraccha—asked; pārṣadaṃḥ—the associates; tatra—there; kva—where?; gataḥgone; bhagavānthe Lord; itaḥ—here; na—not; vidmaḥ—we know; bhaḥ—Oh; vayam—we; ca—and; uktaḥ—addressed; muniḥ—the sage; khinna-manāḥ—depressed; tadāthen.

English translation of verse 2.24.35:

When he asked the Lord's associates there, "Where did the Lord go?" they said,

"We do not know." Then the sage became morose at heart.
