The Garga-samhita Verse 2.24.15, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 24 (The Story of Asuri Muni in the Rasa-dance Pastime) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

काश्चिद् वीणां वादयन्त्यः
समं वंशी-धरेण वै
काश्चिन् मृदङ्गं वदन्त्यो
गायन्त्यो भगवद्-गुणम्

kāścid vīṇāṃ vādayantyaḥ
samaṃ vaṃśī-dhareṇa vai
kāścin mṛdaṅgaṃ vadantyo
gāyantyo bhagavad-guṇam

kāścit—some; vīṇām—a vina; vādayantyaḥ—playing; samamwith; vaṃśī-dhareṇa—Kṛṣṇa, who held a flute; vai—indeed; kāścin—some; mṛdaṅgam—mrdanga; vadantyaḥ—playing; gāyantyaḥ—sininging; bhagavad-guṇam—the virtues of the Lord.

English translation of verse 2.24.15:

Some played the vīṇā as Kṛṣṇa played the flute. Some played the mṛdaṅga and sang songs of Lord Kṛṣṇa's glories.
