The Garga-samhita Verse 2.24.7, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 24 (The Story of Asuri Muni in the Rasa-dance Pastime) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

देवेषु पुष्पं वर्षत्सु
जय-ध्वनि-युतेषु च
तोषयन्त्यो हरिं गोप्यो
जगुस् तद्-यश उत्तमम्

deveṣu puṣpaṃ varṣatsu
jaya-dhvani-yuteṣu ca
toṣayantyo hariṃ gopyo
jagus tad-yaśa uttamam

deveṣu—as the demigods; puṣpam—flowers; varṣatsu—showered; jaya-dhvani-yuteṣu—with sounds of Victory!; ca—and; toṣayantyaḥ—pleasing; harim—Kṛṣṇa; gopyaḥ—the gopīs; jaguḥ—sang; tad-yaśaHis glory; uttamam—transcendental.

English translation of verse 2.24.7:

As the demigods showered flowers and called out Victory!" the gopīs pleased Lord Kṛṣṇa by singing songs about His transcendental glories.
