देवेषु पुष्पं वर्षत्सु
जय-ध्वनि-युतेषु च
तोषयन्त्यो हरिं गोप्यो
जगुस् तद्-यश उत्तमम्
deveṣu puṣpaṃ varṣatsu
jaya-dhvani-yuteṣu ca
toṣayantyo hariṃ gopyo
jagus tad-yaśa uttamam
deveṣu—as the demigods; puṣpam—flowers; varṣatsu—showered; jaya-dhvani-yuteṣu—with sounds of Victory!; ca—and; toṣayantyaḥ—pleasing; harim—Kṛṣṇa; gopyaḥ—the gopīs; jaguḥ—sang; tad-yaśa—His glory; uttamam—transcendental.
English translation of verse 2.24.7:
As the demigods showered flowers and called out Victory!" the gopīs pleased Lord Kṛṣṇa by singing songs about His transcendental glories.
